{"id":427,"date":"2024-08-26T22:24:05","date_gmt":"2024-08-26T22:24:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yourstudyplan.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=427"},"modified":"2024-09-26T00:34:50","modified_gmt":"2024-09-26T00:34:50","slug":"phd-position-in-mathematics-harmonic-analysis-and-inverse-problems-research-line-at-basque-center-for-applied-mathematics-bcam-spain","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/yourstudyplan.com\/jobs\/?post_type=job_listing&p=427","title":{"rendered":"Phd Position in Mathematics (Harmonic Analysis and Inverse Problems Research line) at Basque Center for Applied Mathematics (BCAM), Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Basque Center for Applied Mathematics &#8211; BCAM,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>offers a 4-year Phd position to work in topics in<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>harmonic analysis and related areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The future PhD student will join the Harmonic Analysis and<br \/>\nInverse Problems line at BCAM, funded by a FPI<br \/>\nScholarship under the project PID2023-146646NB-I00<br \/>\n&#8220;Optimality in Harmonic Analysis and Related Areas&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate supervisor will be Dr. Mateus Sousa, and<br \/>\nthe core topics of the thesis are expected to revolve around:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sharp inequalities;<\/li>\n<li>Uncertainty principles and unique continuation;<\/li>\n<li>Fourier interpolation;<\/li>\n<li>Fourier optimization problems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The candidate will also have the opportunity to interact and<br \/>\nwork with other researchers, and will be part of a research<br \/>\ngroup with a good balance of younger and more<br \/>\nestablished researchers with a vast collective range of<br \/>\ninterests in mathematical analysis and related areas, and<br \/>\ncounts with a large network of collaborators spread across<br \/>\ndifferent countries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The group also cultivates strong ties with professors from<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>the University of the Basque Country (UPV\/EHU),<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>especially the ones which are part of the mathematical<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>analysis and applications research group.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and Conditions of employment\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The gross annual salary of the PhD student will be: 19.764 \u20ac &#8211; 24.349 \u20ac according to experience.
