Mass-spectrometry (MS)-based interactomics methodologies are most promising to investigate those networks (Liu et al, Mass Spec Rev 2024, PMID # 38742660).

The objective of this thesis project is to create quantitative MS methods that are highly multiplexed, accurate, and sensitive in order to accurately characterize large-scale interactomes. Additionally, the emphasis will be placed on the development of MS methods to characterize post-translational modifications and to investigate their implications in the protein-protein interaction networks.

About the Institute
The Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert CURIEN (IPHC), a joint research unit under the joint supervision of CNRS and the University of Strasbourg (UMR7178), is a multidisciplinary laboratory where research teams from various scientific cultures (ecology, physiology and ethology, chemistry, and subatomic physics) develop highly advanced programs using scientific instrumentation. The IPHC is organized into four departments and employs a total of 393 personnel, including 257 permanent staff (119 researchers and teachers/researchers and 138 engineers and technicians), 46 staff on fixed-term contracts, and 102 doctoral students.

The PhD will be affiliated with the University of Strasbourg’s Doctoral School of Chemical Sciences (ED222).

The PhD student will be a member of the LSMBO team at IPHC and will have access to all the necessary material conditions (LC-MS/MS instrumentation), human support (expertise sharing), and IT (software tools for data processing) to ensure the successful completion of this thesis project.

The thesis project will be conducted in collaboration with our collaborators at IGBMC, the “Oncoprotéines virales et réseaux domaines-motifs” team, and will be co-supervised by Dr. Elodie Monsellier, who is the developer of the Holdup approach (Gogl et al, Nat Comm 2022 PMID #36115835; Delalande et al, bioRxiv 2022).

supplementary information
The candidate must possess a strong command of written and spoken English at the B2 level, as outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, in order to conduct regular reports and present their findings to colleagues and at conferences.
Applications must include a comprehensive curriculum vitae, a letter of motivation, a summary of the Master’s thesis, and the grades of Master 1 and 2.

Interested Candidate should click the “APPLY FOR JOB” button to apply

[60,62,58
16
76,73,72,74,77
0":"post-379","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-expired","4":"hentry","5":"job_listing_category-doctorate","6":"job_listing_category-phd","7":"job_listing_category-scholarship","8":"job_listing_type-full-time","9":"job_listing_tag-fully-funded-phd-position","10":"job_listing_tag-phd-job","11":"job_listing_tag-phd-positon","12":"job_listing_tag-phd-research","13":"job_listing_tag-phd-schlarship-in-europe","15":"job-type-full-time
["GET
